THE SACRED TRIANGLE MEDITATION:
Intent, Recapitulation and the Point of Convergence
*

Out of the blue background of Infinite Space, within the fundament of the ‘spiritual red energy’, the triangle symbolizing the three universal forces arises.  The seven prismatic colors emanate from the white sphere at the top, symbolic of the universal spirit. The colors are the ‘feathers’ of Quetzalcoatl, the cloak of the hidden spirit. The smaller triangle emanating light rays in the center represents the central, ‘blue path’ to the Infinite. This image comes from  the  Tezkalci, Lakandon Mayan tradition from Chiapas. Originally used in caves, either painted on the rock walls or woven in colored cotton or bead work, it is utilized as a focusing object for meditation and concentration practices.

This special digital version of the hardcover edition includes large, full page, full color reproductions of the images, showing the artwork in its finest detail. In Tangkas in Golog, Do Khyentse Hungkar Dorje brings his vast knowledge of art and Buddhism to western practitioners. The book also includes Do Kheyentse Hungkar Dorje's original text in its Tibetan form as well as a Chinese translation. These full color reproductions of tangkas, drawn by Golog's most renown tangka artist, reflect the termas of HH Orgyen Kusum Lingpa.
