POINT LOMA THEOSOPHICAL HISTORIC LIBRARY RESTORATION PROJECT
As detailed on the front page, (CLICK HERE TO READ), the recent firestorm in San Diego destroyed nearly the entire library of books and historical correspondence.
We are now embarking on a project to digitally archive and reproduce what is remaining, and to reprint what we are able of that which was lost.
In order to do this, we could greatly use your assistance in the form of donations or, possibly, volunteer services. If you are interested in making a cash donation, you can do so either by sending a check to us at Point Loma Publications, 4060 Adams Ave., San Diego, CA 92116, or by donating through paypal by clicking on the button below. (All donations are tax-deductible).
Those interested in more information about our restoration project, or in helping with this project, may contact us atinfo@wisdomtraditions.com.
As this project develops we will also be re-building the library and collaborating with others in establishing long term centers in different location(s) for Theosophical study, research and practice.
Thank you for your interest, support and assistance.
The Madre Grande Monastary in Dulzura, California, has dedicated space for the development of the Wisdom Traditions Resource Center. We would like to thank Madre Grande for this wonderful opportunity.
Our Resource Center will include the Pt. Loma library of books on World Religion and philosophy; Archive on history and development of the POINT LOMA Theosophical Community; books on Asian Art and History, Tibetan Art, Thagkas and Statuary and original art work of POINT LOMA artists.
The Resource Center will also house a large community meeting space. When completed, there will be facilities for long term research and individual studies, including overnight stays.
We are currently in Stage 1 of development, which involves creating our Center, from the ground up. Below are some photographs of this phase of the project:
